David Stumbo’s campaign sells him as a “tough-on-crime conservative” who would push the hardest punishments for the worst offenders. But in one of the most disgusting and horrific cases imaginable — a man who raped and murdered a toddler — Stumbo walked away from pursuing the death penalty and accepted a life sentence with no possibility of parole instead.
This wasn’t a technical legal decision.

A 14-Year-Old Was Shot in the Head. The Death Certificate Says “Homicide.” David Stumbo Still Refused to Prosecute.
In the death of Kaden Moses, a 14-year-old boy shot in the head, even the State of South Carolina ruled the manner of death “HOMICIDE” — “shot by another person.” Stumbo admitted on camera it was not self-inflicted… and still refused to file any charges.
Despite evidence failures, contradictory statements, and a grieving family demanding answers, Stumbo claimed he “didn’t have probable cause” — while applying standards closer to beyond a reasonable doubt to avoid prosecuting the case.
A prosecutor who won’t stand up for a murdered child won’t stand up for South Carolina.

Bennie Brown, Jr. was a career criminalwith a lengthy rap sheet. In 2011, he addeddouble murder to his list of crimes.Brown followed his girlfriend, Nicole Kingsborough, to work and shot her in thehead, killing her. Instead of pursuing the death penalty for a cop-killer, Solicitor David Stumbo chose
mercy for a career criminal and instead sought a “punishment” of life in prison.
Stumbo Wrote a Two-Page Letter Supporting Early Release for a Convicted Killer.
While branding himself as “tough on crime,” Stumbo personally wrote a lengthy letter urging the Parole Board to release Tiffany Janae Carroll, who was convicted of killing her partner. Even the Parole Board denied release the first time — but Stumbo pushed for leniency anyway.
When violent offenders want out early, Stumbo is ready to help.

𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗲, an elected Democrat who lost his last election after he lied about his endorsement of Joe Biden over Donald Trump.
𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹, a disgraced member of the House who was forced from office for committing130 Ethics Violations.
𝗥𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘆, a disgraced member of the State Senate, who was formally reprimanded and fined $125,000 for his offenses.
There’s a pattern here. David Stumbo keeps company with the wrong people. And his friends are adamant that Stephen Goldfinch not become the next Attorney General.
